Making Reservations:
1. Rates quoted are net and non-commissionable unless otherwise stated (commission override fares).
2. On net fare bookings, taxes are guaranteed until 4PM EST the day of booking. If a booking is made after hours or on the weekends then taxes will be recalculated on the next business day
3. Some airlines do not accept credit cards for certain NET fares. In that case, there will be a service fee (3%) added to the total amount (total amount =fare + taxes + commission markup)
4. Rates are subject to change without notice.
Duplicate/Churning/Fictitous Reservations - Please help us! (updated 04SEP08):
1. We will incur large fees from some airlines for making duplicate reservations. Airlines consider a duplicate reservations if dates are close to the same, or having the origin or destination. The fees are roughly $50 per segment.
2. Churning reservations (canceling and rebooking in order to extend a ticketing date) is not allowed. As an example the fees for NW are $600 per incident.
3. Fictitous bookings are reservations created for Doe/John or Mouse/Micky. Fees can go up to $50 per segment.
4. Below are just an example of what is happening in terms of airlines trying to lower their distribution policy. We are working hard with these carriers and others to keep our bookings as clean and as efficient as possible.
Payments:
1. McAbee Tours has the right to refuse any transaction deemed as too high risk.
2. All payments are due at 3pm the day of ticketing.
3. If a ticketing date falls on a SAT/SUN or a holiday day, the prior business day is the ticketing date.
4. Commission checks are mailed out within three business days after ticketing.
Published Airfares / Commission Overrides:
1. Published based fare and taxes are NOT guaranteed until time of ticketing.
2. For non-override published fare bookings, the service fee is $14 per person.
3. Maximum service fee on published airfares is $50 per person.
4. On published fares, that you want us to charge a commisionable service fee (via ARC), we will deduct a $5 service fee per ticket, mainly to cover ARC fees being charged to us.
Using the Online Booking Engine:
1. McAbee Tours booking is for checking fares and making bookings you think you might purchase.
2. Online users who have a high look-to-book ratio or book-to-cancel ratio may have their login deleted. This does not include those who check fares online but book over the phone, as we still receive the booking. The airlines and Amadeus are penalizing travel companies who have undesireable ratios.
3. For 10 or more people traveling together you must fill out a group request form or call in. Failure to do so will in some cases result in a cancellation by the airline (not us) or the airline will increase the fare (some US flag carriers are doing this).
