McAbee Tours Policies
Quoting Fares:
Rates quoted are NET (no commission) and are not commissionable unless otherwise stated over the phone or via the website. Taxes are additional. Given how volatile airline surcharges are in todays market, we reserve the right to change the due date in order to guarantee airline taxes if we get advance notice of a tax increase from the airline.
Booking a reservation:
You'll need the passport spelling of the passenger's first and last name in order to make a booking (See name change below). You'll be advised of the due date when you book. We email or fax the itinerary every time you book and every time you change the booking. It is important that you review the fax or email for accuracy of the flights booked.
Paying for a booking/reservation:
You must pay for your booking or it will auto-cancel by 3PM on the DUE DATE. Any change/cancel fees will apply at this time.
a. Paying online. If you made the booking online, bring up the reservation in our online booking engine and apply payment before the due date. Credit card forms will need to be downloaded and faxed in. For a copy of the Credit Card Form go to www.mcabee.com/ccform.html .
b. Fax in a credit card payment before the due date to 770-393-0084.
c. (NEW) Fax in a direct payment debit. For more information, got back to the home page or ask an agent.
d. Mail a check in before the due date. If you are mailing a check, you must call into and have the agent document the record that it is on the way before the due date. If you mail a check and it is late then we will not know that you have mailed it.
Getting Your Tickets
When offered, we will issue an E-ticket for your bookings and email you a confirmation. Paper tickets are sent FEDEX. For close-in departures we can:
a. Issue an E ticket for some airlines.
b. Charge a FEDEX fee of $15 ($25 for Saturday delivery),
What is Direct Payment?:
It's the same as writing a check, but much more convenient. No more information about your account is released than when you write a check. Fill out the form (available on our web site home page) and fax it in. Call reservations for details and set-up.
Changing a reservations:
Changes to existing bookings must be done by calling Reservations at 800-622-2335.
Commission computation:
Commissions must be calculated against base fare prior to any taxes, airport fees, custom user fees, passenger facility charges or other similar charges.
Name Changes:
There are times that we CANNOT change the name on a given reservation because some contracts force us to cancel and rebook in order to change a name (space may not be available). This policy is dictated by the airline and not us. We reserve the right to charge a fee for name changes when there is a lot of work involved. Very important, please be careful when making airline reservation with us, airlines are very difficult with on making name changes.
Credit Card Forms:
You will need the cardholder's billing address and signature, and the amount you want to charge for the sale. When a non U.S. billing address or third party credit card is used, you will need to fax a copy of the card (front and back) along with a copy of that cardholder's driver's license and signature. We reserve the right to NOT allow credit card transactions to high risk (fraud) destinations like West Africa. No third party credit cards to West Africa.
Paying Commissions:
Commission checks are mailed out a couple of days after ticketing.
Reconfirming Reservations:
It is important to have you or your client reconfirm flights with the airline 72 hours before departure each way.
