A large resort that extends along the Landwasser River Valley and stuck between two large mountain ranges. There are two ski resorts in Davos and one in Klosters. Davos is considered one of the original mega resort with slopes on an incomparable scale.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen: (Germany)(details)
Garmisch-Partenkirchen are traditional towns in southern Germany located within the Alpine region. Garmisch is a family-oriented, quaint town with much to offer in its skiing and snowboarding facilities. The area is filled with traditional restaurants and cafes for those needing a delicious bite to eat. Garmisch is the only major ski resort in Germany and was the site of the 1936 Winter Olympic Games.

Interlaken lies at the gateway to the Bernese Oberland and is located within 40 minutes of the top Swiss ski resorts, Wengen, Grindelwald, and Murren. Interlaken is used as more of a base than as an actual resort. There is no ski resort of its own and the busy atmosphere of the town can remind visitors of home.

Kitzbuhel: (Austria)(details)
Is a historic town dating from the 13th Century surrounding by the amazing Austrian Alps. It is the winter entertainment capital of Austria. Of all the resorts in Austria, Kitzbuhel remains the most glamorous and expensive.

Saas Fee: (Switzerland)(details)
Is often regarded as close to the perfect Swiss ski resort. This is a reasonable size resort with lower prices and fewer crowds than the “must see” resorts in Switzerland. There are no cars in the village of Saas Fee and there never has been. The road didn't come to Saas Fee until 1951 and then, the locals decided to have a large car park, so even the taxis in the village are electric.

Solden: (Austria)(details)
Is situated in the Tyrol region of Austria. Two glaciers make up the most of the skiing at Solden. Although there are amazing panoramic views and beautiful natural experiences, visitors looking for a peaceful vacation should not head to Solden.

St. Anton: (Austria)(details)
St. Anton dominates the world famous Arlberg ski area. St. Anton is located at the western tip of Austria. This area is popular with those skiers in the know and skiers from all walks of life. While the resort is located in a small, quiet village, the nightlife is just the opposite.

St. Moritz: (Switzerland)(details)
St. Moritz is one of the most luxurious winter resorts in the world. A modern town, set in the spectacular Swiss Alps next to the lowest lake at the foot of the Piz Bernina, is absolutely breathtaking. The slogan for the resort of St. Moritz is "The Top of the World". The reason for this slogan is the actual altitude of the area which is 6,089. However, there are many who believe this slogan actually refers to visitors' financial status.

Zell am See: (Austria)(details)
Is found in the valley of Prinzgau in western Austria. This charming lakeside town has some of the best views of the lake. Zell, combined with the neighboring town of Kaprun provide a wide range of opportunities for skiers and non-skiers. This makes Zell am See a great base for vacationers who enjoy traveling around to different locations within an area.

Zermatt: (Switzerland)(details)
Located in a beautiful and peaceful mountain village with excellent restaurants, international tourism, and friendly locals, this resort reaches to a peak of 12,792ft at Matterhorn. Zermatt has always been about the mountains. This is a scenic, car-free village with a medieval center. Zermatt provides a great base for some of the best Alpine skiing.
